I love this so much! The model of the Wino's Hierarchy of Needs and the post ideas for each level are fantastic. Thank you for such an informative and helpful post!
P.S. I absolutely agree that wine should be a moving day beverage!
As someone who spent a decent number of years mucking about at level 5, and eventually realized level 1 was more enjoyable, I think the pyramid might be inverted.... 🤔
That's an interesting thought, and there is a part of me that has thought for a while that it's less of a pyramid and more of a circle. I feel like nearly everyone starts at level one of just wanting something they'll like, and then as they work their way up, they eventually go back to level one.
Case in point: I started out drinking cool, crisp white wines then changed to only wanting big reds, then gained some curiosity and started exploring some of the hard to pronounce wines, and now, the wines I cannot keep for very long in my fridge are Rieslings and the like.
The difference is that now I have the curse of knowledge vs the bliss of ignorance

A circle seems much more user friendly for differing palates, too!
Well done Heather. I think I grew up with the punk/rock n roll Maslow’s Hierarchy journey…but a terrific reminder to meet the customer where they are.
